At Gilpin Hotel & Lake House, we combine two luxurious, secluded parts of the Lake District—Gilpin Hotel and Gilpin Lake House—into one seamless operations. As a Host (All-Rounder), you’ll craft the serene and thoughtful atmosphere that embodies our quiet luxury – from thoughtful arrivals to effortless departures, ensuring every guest feels attended to with genuine care and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome & Hosting: Greet guests with natural warmth and confidence, ensuring each interaction feels personal and exceptional, from arrival to departure.
- Seamless Guest Flow: Oversee daily rhythms—breakfast service, housekeeping, afternoon tea, spa movements, guest requests, and evening turndown—ensuring smooth transitions and pristine surroundings.
- Housekeeping & Presentation: Maintain public areas, reset rooms, replenish amenities, and uphold understated luxury standards with meticulous attention to detail.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Spa, Estates, Housekeeping, and Front Office teams to address maintenance needs, enhance privacy, and uphold Gilpin’s signature calm and order.
- Events Leadership: Lead private events, celebrations, and exclusives with the Front Office, executing flawless, detail-oriented occasions.
- Guest Advocacy: Anticipate needs, resolve issues discreetly, and deliver comfort with grace and discretion—all while reinforcing our brand promise of heartfelt care and quiet luxury.

- While hospitality experience is desirable, personality, attitude, and adaptability are paramount.
