Commis Waiter – Coreus Restaurant at Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch
Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch, located near Buckingham Palace, is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Commis Waiter to join its founding team ahead of the luxury hotel’s anticipated opening.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity allows experienced luxury hotel professionals to pioneer a new level of Michelin-starred dining excellence and help shape the guest experience at this iconic landmark. Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature:
- 100 elegant rooms & suites
- 17,500 sq ft of private residences
- Two signature restaurants:
- Coreus by Clare Smyth
- Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud
- A world-class spa, gym, and grand event spaces, including a 320-seat ballroom

Responsibilities
As a Commis Waiter at Coreus Restaurant, your responsibilities include:

Supporting the service team to ensure a seamless, refined dining experience

Response & Guest Service:
- Handling guest queries with courtesy, discretion, and professionalism
- Providing knowledgable menu and beverage guidance
- Adhering to escalation protocols for prompt resolution

Service Preparation & Execution:
- Maintaining Hilton grooming standards (uniform, hygiene, presentation)
- Managing calls professionally with precise note-taking
- Completing opening/closing duties & all side responsibilitiess afte ensuring schedules and standards are met

Operations & Maintenance:
- Keeping service equipment, crockery, and utensils spotless and ready
- Stocking tableware, glassware, linen, and condiments daily
- Managing chemical storage and cleaning schedules responsibly
- Ensuring back-of-house areas are sanitised post-service

Compliance & Safety:
- Following all security, health & safety regulations
- Complying with fire marshals and protocol guidelines

Preferred (or Previously Demonstrated):
✔ Achievable in a luxury/high-end hospitality environment ✔ Familiarity with gourmet plating, service ware, and fine-dining protocols ✔ Representation of food hygiene rules (e.g., level 2 certification) ✔ Capacity to lift/carry (up to 50 lbs) in a fast-paced setting
