We are seeking an experienced Hotel Accountant to join our team in Clark!
How You’ll Shine
- Complete all monthly reporting commitments within designated timeframes.
- Coordinate and manage the monthly SOX journal submission process in accordance with U.S. compliance requirements and regulations.
- Support and empower team members by fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and providing assistance where required.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements in PeopleSoft, including the posting of payroll, intercompany, revenue, and standard journals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts for the nominated properties under the position’s responsibility.
- Prepare and finalize cashbooks for all business units and properties, and post monthly cashbook journals for the RMbTL Team.
- Assist the RMbTL Team during month-end close by posting adjustment journals following the review of monthly management packs.
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and that outstanding items are appropriately investigated and cleared.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts on a monthly basis and maintain effective controls to minimize discrepancies.
- Download, prepare, and analyze monthly reports and statistical data, including GST, PIFs, and STR reports, for inclusion in management packs and presentations.
- Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly consolidated debtors reports.
- Actively contribute to the implementation and maintenance of effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and support financial performance.
- Monitor, report on, and control capital expenditure to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Maintain audit trail integrity and provide support in addressing annual audit queries and requirements.
- Adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures, ensuring the safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions in the workplace.
- Demonstrate integrity in all aspects of the role by taking ownership, acting ethically, delivering on commitments, and consistently doing the right thing.

What You Will Bring
- Accounting degree or equivalent qualification; CPA/CA desirable but not essential.
- Excellent understanding of accounting controls within a hospitality business environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Exposure to trust accounting under a Management Rights business model.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with off-site Resort Managers.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
