Role: Hotel Duty Manager

Contract Type: Permanent (no zero-hours contracts!) Hours: 20 hours per week Pay Rate: Up to £13.86 per hour (day shift)

This opportunity is ideal for someone with retail or team-lead experience looking to step into management. You’ll oversee operations, ensure exceptional hospitality, and inspire a team that stands out for its reliability, efficiency, and warmth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead buried when the team to deliver unmatched customer service, ensuring guests enjoy safe, welcoming, and memorable stays.
  • Manage day-to-day hotel operations, from health & safety standards to housekeeping, front desk, and team coordination.
  • Utilise your retail or team-lead experience to handle challenges with clarity, professionalism, and innovation.
  • Maintain relationship with housekeeping, restaurant teams, and third parties to ensure frictionless collaboration.
  • Ensure clarity through effective communication and training, fostering a motivated team culture.
  • Keep records to monitor updates accurately, maintaining transparency.

What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • Demonstrated success in team leadership (retail, customer-facing, or hospitality a plus).
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Confidence in decisions under pressure and the capability to resolve guest concerns efficiently.
  • Commitment to inclusivity and diversity—preferable if from under-represented communities (women, ethnic minorities, LGBTQIA+, disabled, or ex-criminal backgrounds).

Nice to Have
