At the Mercure Oxford Eastgate Hotel we are recruiting for a Hotel Duty Manager with Food and Beverage Experience to join our excellent team. This role will support with Duty Manager shifts in the hotel.
We are looking for someone with a friendly, warm personality, someone who is enthusiastic and is keen to help our guests, will be well-presented and confident, whilst understanding the heritage of our unique properties.
We want you to be focused on providing excellent customer service to all our guests and customers, delivered with passion and a smile. Our values are Loyalty, Integrity, Versatility and Excellence and we strive for all our team members to flourish in our hotels.

The Role
- To act as a hotel ambassador at all times as you will be representing the brand and the company.
- To comply with all Security and Health & Safety policies.
- Eye for detail, have the ability to maintain high standards, be receptive to training and coaching.
- To have the ability to work under supervision, be polite and helpful to both colleagues and guests, have good communication skills, be friendly, enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- To have a good level of spoken and written English and the ability to communicate and interact with multi-cultural clientele. Possess a positive, motivated, friendly, trustworthy outlook whilst on duty.
- To act upon guest feedback to continually improve our experiences.
- To look for ways to continuously improve personal knowledge and skills and be actively involved with leaders in the creation office best practices.
- Support the General Manager with the management of the food and beverage department.
