Scotland’s leading residential conference venue is now seeking a warm and professional Hotel Front Office Host to join its team.
About the Role
Based at reception, you will play a pivotal role in delivering excellent guest service by supporting all aspects of reception & reservations. As the first point of contact for guests, patients, delegates, and visitors, you’ll ensure a seamless and welcoming experience by advising on hotel facilities, processing transactions, and maintaining smooth operations at the reception desk.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily duties will include:
- Handling reservation checks
- Processing payments
- Managing check-in and check-out procedures
- Answering incoming calls efficiently
- Addressing guest requests
- Coordinating cross-departmental communication
- Upselling upgrades and additional services

You will also process a variety of reservations, including:
- Individual bookings
- Company reservations
- Group bookings
- Reservations from telephone, email, OTAs, and the hotel’s own website
Skills & Person Specification
This role requires:
- Strong flexibility to adapt to dynamic situations
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- A proven ability to thrive in busy, fast-paced environments, handling competing priorities
Temporary hours apply, meaning this position includes:
- Shifts across 7 days of the week
- Coverage of evenings, weekends, and occasional night shifts
