Grade UE02: £24,547 per annum plus a 5% Premium Band for flexible working

The Opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity in our hotel housekeeping team part of the University of Edinburgh and are looking for housekeepers with great personalities who are team players and have outstanding attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness.

In this role you will be working as part of our hotel housekeeping team and will ensure all guest bedrooms; public areas are cleaned on a daily basis. You will be either based at The Scholar Hotel; The Scott or KM Hotel & Apartments and service our bedrooms with an eye for detail and to our high standards.

In return you will receive above industry rate of pay; generous benefits and opportunities to develop within our team. This contract will allow you to work as much or little in line with our business demands in a variety of morning; or day shifts.

Opportunities to work in other areas of the hotel such as reception and housekeeping are available as we have a “one team ethos”. This post will present an opportunity to ensure great standards are delivered and excellent customer service is provided under the University of Edinburgh Hospitality and Events Collection.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Passionate about delivering great service.
  • Previous experience in hotel cleaning.
  • Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Willingness to learn.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and requires on-campus working.
