Kitchen Team Leader – Premier Inn Truro
About the Role
Join our team at Premier Inn Truro as a Kitchen Team Leader in our Truro Premier Inn and take the next step in your Chef career. You’ll run the kitchen day-to-day, focusing on:
- Managing rotas, food orders, and team workflow
- Leading through busy services
- Ensuring food quality, hygiene, and audit readiness
- Working closely with the Hotel Manager to take ownership of kitchen operations
This is a hands-on leadership role—ideal for anyone looking to build skills for progression to Head Chef.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Leadership
- Oversee food ordering and stock control, keeping costs under control
- Take charge during service, ensuring workflow efficiency and smooth operations
- Maintain high standards in health, safety, and hygiene, including team training and record-keeping

Execution & Delivery
- Prepare, cook, and serve menu items—from classic Premier Inn breakfasts to pub favourites
- Step in as needed, covering shifts and assisting new team members
Development & Growth
- Gain expert knowledge in kitchen management to advance into more senior roles
Location & Schedule
- Location: old Carnon Hill, Carnon Downs, Truro, TR3 6JZ
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Pay: Up to £14.31 per hour
