Hotel Kitchen - Team Leader

Kitchen Team Leader – Premier Inn Bishop Auckland

Location: W Auckland Rd, Tindale Crescent, Bishop Auckland DL14 9AP

About the Role

Join our team at Premier Inn Bishop Auckland as a Kitchen Team Leader and take your Chef career to the next level.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll:

  • Run the kitchen day-to-day
  • Manage rotas, orders, and team performance
  • Ensure food quality, hygiene, and compliance with industry standards
  • Work closely with your Hotel Manager

Grow your skills to become a Head Chef while gaining manageable experience in a dynamic environment.

  • Rate: Up to £14.31 per hour
  • Hours: ~30 hours per week
    • Flexible schedule: Any 5 days out of 7, including:
      • Early mornings
      • Later evenings
      • Weekends
      • Bank holidays & other holidays
    • Leadership role with cross-training opportunities across departments

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Leadership

  • Take full ownership of food ordering, stock control, and cost management for the hotel.
  • Lead the kitchen during service by:
    • Organising team rotations
    • Managing workflow efficiently
    • Relying uniquely prepared meals (e.g., Premier Inn breakfasts + pub classics).
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, with up-to-date training for your team.

  • Support new recruits as an integral part of kitchen operations
