Kitchen Team Leader – Premier Inn Hull North

Location: Ashcombe Road, Kingswood Retail Park, Hull, HU7 3DD

HOURS: 30 hours per week (over 5 days)

PAY RATE: Up to £14.31 per hour


About the Role

Join our team at Premier Inn Hull North and advance your Chef career as a Kitchen Team Leader. This hands-on leadership role involves day-to-day kitchen management, team coordination, and ensuring top-tier food quality—while maintaining all audit standards.

Working closely with the Hotel Manager, this position involves:

  • Managing rotas, food orders, and team workflow
  • Full ownership of food quality, hygeine, and audit readiness
  • Hands-on leadership tailored for growth into Head Chef roles

Responsibilities

• Financial & Operational Ownership

  • Oversee food ordering and stock control
  • Keep food costs efficient for the entire hotel
  • Track inventory and ensure cost management

• Team & Service Leadership

  • Lead the kitchen team during bach services and peak hours
  • Organise workflows and workflow management
  • Provide hands-on support to maintain Premier Inn standards

• Food Preparation & Delivery

  • Prepare, cook, and serve menus to spec (including signature breakfasts & pub dishes)
  • Ensure consistent quality across dishes

• Compliance & Hygiene

  • Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Train the team and keep records up to date
  • Ensure audit readiness

• Upskilling & Career Development

  • Step into additional responsibilities when needed (cover shifts, mentor new staff)
  • Acquire kitchen management expertise for future leadership roles
