Hotel Kitchen Team Leader – Saffron Walden Premier Inn
Location: Thaxted Rd, Saffron Walden CB10 2SG
About the Role
Join our team at Saffron Walden Premier Inn as a Kitchen Team Leader and advance your Chef career. In this hands-on leadership position, you’ll manage the kitchen day-to-day by:
- Running rotations and logistics
- Overseeing food orders
- Leading teams during busy services
- Keeping the kitchen compliant with audits
Collaborate closely with the Hotel Manager to ensure operational excellence, from food quality to hygiene standards. This role is ideal for professionals aiming to build skills for a path to Head Chef.
Salary & Hours
- Up to £14.31 per hour
- 40 hours per week

Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Team Leader, you will:
- Manage food ordering and stock control, ensuring cost efficiency
- Oversee team organisation during service, maintaining workflow
- Prepare, cook, and serve Premier Inn breakfasts and pub classics to exact standards
- Enforce hygiene, safety, and food standards, including records and staff training
- Provide shift cover and help onboard new team members
- Pave the way for progression by loosening your knowledge in kitchen management
