What you'll bring to the team
Are you a night owl with a passion for customer service and creating memorable guest experiences? We're looking for a Hotel Night Receptionist to join our Hotel Operations team at Thorpe Shark Cabins.
As the face of our accommodation offering during the night shift, you'll play a vital role in ensuring guests receive a warm welcome, a smooth check-in and check-out experience, and exceptional service throughout their stay. You'll be responsible for maintaining high operational standards, supporting guests with queries, and helping deliver an outstanding overnight guest experience.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence when interacting with guests and resolving queries.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work independently.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and professionalism.
- Integrity and responsibility when handling guest belongings and sensitive information.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and peak operating periods.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic IT skills and confidence using booking or reservation systems.
- Ability to work overnight shifts on a rota basis.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a hotel reception, hospitality, accommodation, leisure, or tourism environment.
- Experience handling guest feedback and resolving customer concerns.
- Knowledge of hotel check-in/check-out processes.
- Cash-handling and retail experience.
