Hotel Receptionist
Front of House Receptionist – Clermont Charing Cross
Location: The Clermont Charing Cross, Charing Cross Contract: Flexible Payment: Hourly Salary: £13.50 per hour + commissions
Refresh and recharge in the heart of London’s Charing Cross in our 4-star luxury hotel. This grand railway hotel is just a stone’s throw from Trafalgar Square and the Strand. Enjoy the buzz of London’s busy city streets, world-class shopping and entertainment before returning to the peaceful haven of the Clermont Charing Cross.
About the Role
You’ll work mainly on the Reception desk, ensuring that every guest feels warmly welcomed and supported throughout their stay. While experience with Opera is a plus, what matters most is your dedication to creating memorable experiences. Your proactive, calm approach will be essential in anticipating guest needs and resolving any queries efficiently—even during busy times.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build connections and deliver truly personalised service, going beyond check-in and check-out to make each guest feel at home.
The Front of House Team operates on shift rota, so you’ll need to be comfortable working five days out of seven, with a mix of early and late shifts.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming and supporting guests throughout their stay, creating warm and personalised experiences
- Operating efficiently in a busy, fast-paced guest-facing environment
- Anticipating and resolving guest queries tactfully and professionally
- Working collaboratively as part of a guest-facing reception team
- Adhering to shift-based availability, including early and late rotations
