Front of House Receptionist – The Cumberland, London


Location: The Cumberland, London Contract: Flexible Payment: Hourly Hourly Rate: £13.50 per hour + commissions

About the Role

You’ll thrive mainly at the Reception desk, ensuring every guest feels warmly welcomed and cared for throughout their stay. While experience with Opera is a bonus, the role values most your dedication to creating memorable experiences. Your proactive, calm approach will be key to anticipating guest needs and performing with brilliant service—even during peak times.

This role is perfect for someone who loves building genuine connections and delivering hospitality beyond the basics of arrival and departure, turning each stay into a home away from home.

The Front of House team operates on a shift rota, with available shifts spanning five days per week, including early and late duties.


Responsibilities

  • Work at Reception, providing warm, personalised service to guests
  • Anticipate and meet guest needs proactive in a fast-paced environment
  • Handle check-ins, check-outs, and any immediate guest queries effortlessly
  • Maintain a friendly and inviting atmosphere that values both guests and team members
  • Support ticketting and booking systems — including Opera attending guests, if relevant
  • Ensure documentation is filled out thoroughly and accurately
  • Maintain a clear, polished appearance and demeanour when engaging with guests
  • Facilitate smooth communication between guests, departments, and management
