The Harbourview Hotel is a historic hotel located on the scenic Causeway Coastal Route in Carnlough. Originally built in 1848 by Frances Ann Vane Tempest and once owned by Sir Winston Churchill, the property combines rich heritage with modern hospitality.
Ireland’s first Whiskey Hotel, nestled in the picturesque village of Carnlough on the breathtaking Causeway Coast, offers a truly unique experience where heritage, hospitality, and whiskey culture come together.
Recently awarded 4-star status and named Northern Ireland’s Hotel of the Year 2026 by The Times and The Sunday Times, it stands as a testament to quality and excellence.
The Harbourview embraces an elegant, homely atmosphere with coastal chic interiors, offering guests a warm and distinctive stay experience. The hotel features 35 elegantly designed bedrooms that combine contemporary comfort with timeless style, plus a Wee Bar, Whiskey Chamber and over 300 Irish Whiskeys. At its heart is an on-site cask warehouse, where guests can immerse themselves in unique whiskey experiences showcasing Carnlough Irish Whiskey.

The Hotel Sales Manager is a part-time flexible role, responsible for driving room, event, and F&B revenue through proactive sales activities, including identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing accounts, and building strong relationships with corporate, leisure, and group clients.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Managing the sales pipeline
- Preparing proposals and contracts
- Coordinating site visits
- Collaborating with operations and marketing teams to deliver seamless guest experiences
The Hotel Sales Manager will monitor market trends, contribute to pricing and promotional strategies, and provide regular performance reports and forecasts. The role also involves representing the hotel at local and regional events, maintaining accurate records in sales systems, and ensuring a high standard of professional service at all times.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and effective presentation abilities.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with a focus on building long-term client relationships and delivering a positive guest experience.
- Demonstrated Sales and Sales Management skills, including account management, negotiation, and closing business.
- Marketing skills, with experience supporting promotional campaigns, brand awareness, and local market engagement.
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality sales management or a similar role is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Comfort with using CRM or sales management software and standard office productivity tools.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on business needs.
