Hotels Receptionist

Hotels Receptionist – Abingdon & Didcot

BaxterStorey is looking to employ a Hotels Receptionist to support the locations in Abingdon and Didcot.

Job Description

Role: Hotels Receptionist (reporting to the Reception Supervisor and GM)

Location: Ridgeway House Hotel (Abingdon) or Cosener’s House Hotel (Didcot)

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellent guest experiences from check-in to departure
  • Handle hotel queries with professionalism and efficiency
  • Operate Hotels Reception on an alternating basis between Ridgeway House and Cosener’s House Hotels
  • Remain flexible for weekend and evening shifts (5-over-7 rotational roster)

Requirements

  • Flexibility to cover both Abingdon and Didcot locations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable using visitor management systems
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in dynamic environments

Experience & Training

  • Reception experience in a hotel is beneficial (but not mandatory—full training provided)
  • Rate of pay: £13.40 per hour (flexible weekly hours based on trade)
