About the Role
This role is where it all starts, you will be reporting to and working with the Bistro and Catering Manager (BCM) developing recipes within the Village to meet the dietary requirements of all our residents.
Delivering high quality meals is essential to our residents as this could be one of their highlights of their day. You will need to ensure that all meals are wholesome, nutritional, flavoursome and appetising to encourage our residents to enjoy their homecooked meals, along with:
- Ensure health, safety and food hygiene procedures for the households catering are followed in line with environmental health and H&S regulations and in accordance with Belong policies and procedures
- Ensure all household HACCP records are completed
- Ensure the household catering service prevents malnutrition and dehydration following and advising on best practice guidelines accordingly and dietician advice
- Monitor service standards throughout the household kitchens ensuring quality
- Knowledge of SALT and dysphasia is essential.

About you
You will have a passion for food, creativity drive and commitment to deliver the high standards, be able to train and develop, encourage and support your team. Follow all the Health and Safely guide lines to ensure your department is well led, and safe. Level 2/3 Catering qualifications are desirable.
