Housekeeper
Company Description Ampster is an Anglo-Dutch home energy management startup focused on households with home batteries, electric vehicles, and solar panels. The company helps Dutch consumers:
- Increase solar yields,
- Trade energy, and
- Improve self-consumption to optimise the benefits of Net Metering tax rebates.
Currently, Ampster is not publicly available and is recruiting to help test and refine its energy management algorithms. Alongside automation, it provides independent advice on home battery investments. While primarily targeting the Netherlands, the company is also exploring the domestic energy management technology market in the UK.
Role Description The Housekeeper role at Ampsters is a full-time, on-site position based in Brighton.

Responsibilities
- Maintain clean and organised spaces, including:
- Dusting,
- Vacuuming,
- Mopping,
- Sanitising common areas, offices, and restrooms.
- Manage daily tasks:
- Laundry,
- Changing linens,
- Restocking supplies.
- Ensure areas remain presentable and comfortable for staff and visitors.
- Handle basic cleaning equipment safely and report maintenance issues.
- Communicate with team members to prioritise tasks.
- Occasionally support training of new team members on cleaning standards and procedures to ensure consistency and quality.

Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- Strong skills in:
- Laundry,
- General housekeeping tasks.
- Organisation skills to manage:
- Cleaning schedules,
- Supplies,
- Multiple areas efficiently.
- Communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with:
- Staff,
- Visitors,
- Vendors.
- Ability to train or willingness to support new housekeeping team members.
- Attention to detail and commitment to:
- Hygiene standards,
- Safety protocols.
- Physical ability to perform:
- Lifting,
- Bending,
- Standing for extended periods.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, facilities, or a similar role is beneficial.
- Reliability with:
- Punctuality,
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
