About the Role
The Housekeeper role is essential to our fully-functioning team, ensuring outstanding cleanliness and upkeep across our student accommodation sites. This position may require work at one site or stretched across several.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure buildings/accommodation are kept clean and orderly for guests, maintaining the highest standards across:
- Rooms and suites
- Common rooms and hallways
- Outdoor areas and entrances
- Perform core cleaning duties, including:
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming
- Deep cleaning kitchens (work surfaces, ovens, hobs, and fridges)
- Scrubbing bathrooms (washbasins, showers, tiles, and toilets)
- Inspect and maintain all rooms strictly according to standards
- Protect equipment and report any damages, shortages, or disturbances
- Handle complaints and requests professionally and with patience
- Check and manage stock levels of cleaning supplies:
- Report low-supply needs to the Accommodation Manager
- Order and replace consumables appropriately
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols

Requirements
- Desirable: Previous experience as a Housekeeper in:
- Hospitality businesses with accommodation
- Student accommodation – able to thrive in fast-paced, high-check-in/out environments
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high performance standards
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication empathy to elevate the student experience
- Speed and efficiency while ensuring quality of work is never compromised
- Integrity, attention to detail, and responsibility in all tasks

- Preferred: Valid UK driving licence and personal car (for multi-site visits); mileage and expenses covered for eligible duties

- Uphold legislation-aligned policies and procedures, including ANUK Accreditation Scheme compliance
- Follow HMO and housing regulation guidelines
- Fully comply with the company’s Health & Safety best practices

- Perform any additional tasks as required by Management Team.
