Housekeeper – Full Time (40 hours/week)
Location: Hawkinge House, Hawkinge (CT18 7SS)
About the Role
As a Housekeeper, you will ensure the home remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times, upholding strict hygiene and cleanliness standards while fostering a team-oriented, warm, and caring environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dusting residents’ rooms while engaging in thoughtful conversation
- Thoroughly cleaning bathrooms
- Maintaining houseplants and upkeeping the home’s aesthetics
- Completing detailed cleaning logs
Key to this role is carrying out every task with due care, compassion, and meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Compassionate nature – genuinely light up when assisting and supporting others
- Strong communication skills – clear, approachable, and comfortable using IT systems
- Exceptional organisation – effective planning and ability to prioritise tasks
- Attention to detail – commitment to upholding the highest cleaning and maintenance standards
- Health, safety, and hygiene awareness – sound knowledge of infection control, COSHH procedures, and classroom safety protocols
- Self-motivated yet teamplayer – capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with others
- Flexibility – open to adjusting work hours as needed during busy periods
