Housekeeper
Housekeeper | Spire Portsmouth Hospital | Havant, Hampshire | Part-time – 30 hours | Permanent
Spire Portsmouth Hospital is seeking a dedicated and motivated Housekeeper to join our permanent part-time team.
As part of the UK’s most respected private hospital group, Spire Portsmouth Hospital delivers world-class care in a beautiful setting. Our multidisciplinary medical team ensures fast access to expert healthcare, from consultations and diagnosis to personalised treatment and aftercare.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow and complete assigned cleaning schedules, ensuring rooms and areas are prepared to the required standards and their correct layouts
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in bedrooms, offices, public areas, the sterile services department, and public toilets
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff to address varying operational needs
- Comply with all Health and Safety at Work Regulations, including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
- Undertake any additional duties reasonably aligned with the role’s nature and level of responsibility

Who We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality or housekeeping is desirable, but not essential (training provided)
- No formal qualifications required
- Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety regulations is advantageous
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Methodical approach to work with initiative
- Flexibility to work across various shift patterns (early mornings, days, and evenings) and days from Monday to Sunday
