Housekeeper Opportunity in Emergency Department

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Housekeeper to work within the Emergency Department at The Princess Royal Hospital.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking Housekeeper who will work as an integral part of the team ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment at all times.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under non-direct supervision, prioritising your own workload
  • Flexible approach within this role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Awareness of health and safety
  • IT literate
  • Recent experience in cleaning duties and use of chemicals and equipment
  • Previous experience with stock control is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with and helping patients throughout the working day
  • Communicating with all levels of staff both face to face and over the telephone
  • Taking ownership of the stock levels within the department, to include ordering of stock
  • Maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the department

About the Role

The department is fast-paced and exciting to work in as it has gone under vast improvement over the last few years with an increase in foot fold.

Applicants with previous experience in a health care setting are desirable, however, you will need to demonstrate commitment to developing yourself to support the nursing team in caring for patients and ensuring the patient experience is positive.
