Kiddie Capers Childcare Hailsham

Kiddie Capers Childcare Hailsham is a brand-new nursery designed to be a bright, welcoming space where children and staff can thrive. With places for up to 80 children aged 0–5 years, the nursery features dedicated age-specific rooms, a cosy sleep room, a sensory room, and secure outdoor spaces, including a baby garden, a forest school area, and an older children’s play area. Every detail is carefully designed to create a nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow with confidence.

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable, organised, and hardworking Housekeeper to join our nursery team. This important role helps ensure our setting remains clean, safe, and welcoming for children, families, and staff. Working closely with the Nursery Manager and nursery team, you will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the nursery by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation throughout the setting.

Hours & Pay

  • 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, fully flexible
  • £8.00-£12.71 per hour (depending on age)

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing snacks and tea for the children ensuring food hygiene standards are upheld
  • Serving children’s lunches from Zebedees (our external hot meal provider)
  • Clearing/ tidying up after snacks and lunches
  • Keeping food preparation areas clean and tidy throughout the day
  • Daily Laundry – washing, drying, folding, and sorting of the laundry
  • General tidying/ cleaning throughout the day to help keep the setting a nice environment for children and staff
  • Ad hoc housekeeping/ operational tasks as directed by the Nursery Manager
