Housekeeper / Laundry Assistant – Permanent, Part-Time (31.5 hours/week)

As our home expands, we’re seeking Housekeepers / Laundry Assistants to help maintain high standards of care and cleanliness for residents.


The Role

You’ll play a key part in ensuring Friends Place remains clean, hygienic, and resident-focused.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Housekeeping duties:

  • Vacuuming, furnishings (polishing tables, chairs, office surfaces)
  • Cleaning resident and communal areas (armchairs, dining spaces)
  • Emptying bins & maintaining a polished home

✔ Laundry services:

  • Handling residents’ personal laundry efficiently
  • Upholding high hygiene standards

✔ Team player commitment:

  • Someone with a self-motivated, problem-solving attitude
  • Treating each resident with kindness and dignity

No prior experience is required, but you must be reliable, trustworthy, and proud of your work.

Knowledge & Skills Desired (but not essential):

  • Familiarity with COSHH & Health & Safety procedures
  • Good English & numeracy skills
  • Ability to use digital technology for training (e.g., online modules)
