Location: Upper Dicker, BN27 3QH Position: Part-Time, Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) Hours: 20 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 08:30AM–12:30PM) Contract Duration: Until January 2027 Rate: £12.71/hour (FTE £26,508.99/year)
About the Role
Bede’s Trust seeks a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our Senior School team in Upper Dicker. You will provide a comprehensive cleaning service to all school areas, maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
This temporary role (part-time, fixed term) covers maternity leave and requires coverage of:
- Two Open Morning Saturdays
- Four Saturday Easter Holidays
- Six Summer School Saturdays
The position includes full training and uniform provision.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute thorough cleaning across all school areas, adhering to agreed standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) for chemical cleaning solutions.
- Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and safe storage of equipment and machines; report any maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Promote a first-class cleaning standard and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Work collaboratively within a dedicated housekeeping team.

Requirements & Preferences
- Essential: Reliability, attention to detail, commitment to high hygiene standards.
- Desirable: Previous cleaning experience in an educational or professional setting.
- Full training and uniform provided—no prior experience required.
- Must work flexibly to cover additional Saturday sessions.
