About the Role
Thamesfield Retirement Village in Henley on Thames is seeking a Housekeeper to deliver the highest standards of cleanliness and service across the village and in residents’ homes. This is a part-time fixed-term contract (4–6 weeks), working 25 hours per week, with shifts between 8am–2pm, Monday–Friday. Flexibility is required to meet the schedule.
Responsibilities

- Performing regular cleaning tasks in residents’ apartments, such as:
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
- Laundering linens and clothing with care and precision
- Keeping communal areas (lounges, dining rooms, hallways) spotless and welcoming
- Assisting with light maintenance tasks where needed
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the village
Qualifications & Skills
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, ideally within residential or hospitality settings
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independently
- Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and compassionate approach
- Sensitivity to the needs and preferences of older adults
- Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant training
