As a Housekeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout our accommodations, ensuring that each guest enjoys a refreshing and memorable stay. Whether it's making up rooms, tidying common areas, or assisting with special requests, your attention to detail and passion for creating a pristine environment will contribute to the overall guest experience.

Position: Housekeeping Team Member
Location: Potters Resorts - Five Lakes, Colchester Road, Tolleshunt Knights, Maldon, Essex, UK
Type: 30 hours per week (9am - 3pm working 5 days out of 7 to include weekends and bank holidays)

Key Responsibilities:
For a housekeeper at Potters Resorts, key responsibilities would typically include:
- Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms: Ensuring rooms are cleaned to high standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
- Ensuring guest satisfaction: Providing excellent customer service by attending to any guest needs, such as providing extra linens or responding to special requests.
- Restocking supplies: Ensuring rooms are stocked with necessary items like toiletries, towels, and other amenities.
- Reporting maintenance issues: Notifying management of any maintenance or repair issues, such as broken fixtures or equipment.
- Upholding safety and hygiene standards: Ensuring that cleaning practices meet health and safety guidelines and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Managing inventory: Keeping track of cleaning supplies and reporting when restocking is necessary.
- Adhering to company policies: Following Potters Resorts' specific standards for cleanliness, guest interaction, and behaviour.

Hours:
- 9am - 3pm, working 5 days out of 7 to include weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
Due to our rural location, you must have a full UK driving licence and your own transport as it is not possible to reach us using public transport.
Qualifications
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for cleanliness and tidiness to make sure rooms, bathrooms, and public areas are spotless. Noticing small issues or areas that need extra attention.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, especially in a fast-paced environment, to ensure rooms are ready for guests in a timely manner.
- Customer Service Skills: Being polite, approachable, and responsive to guests' needs or requests. Providing an excellent guest experience, often going above and beyond to ensure comfort.
- Physical Stamina: The job can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Organisation Skills: Being able to organize tasks and maintain cleanliness in a structured manner, ensuring that work is done efficiently without missing areas.
- Cleaning Knowledge: Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, sanitization, and the correct use of cleaning products and equipment. Understanding the use of chemicals safely and effectively.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well with other staff members, as housekeeping often works in teams to ensure the resort runs smoothly.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to various situations and requirements, such as handling last-minute requests from guests or changing workloads.
- Communication Skills: Good communication with guests and fellow team members to ensure expectations are met and requests are handled efficiently.
