Willowbrook Care Home
Willowbrook Care Home is a specialist service in Birmingham, providing high quality care for up to 75 residents living with dementia, mental health conditions and complex needs. The home delivers clinically led, person centred care within a structured and supportive environment, promoting independence, stability and overall wellbeing.
Housekeeping Assistant Contract
- Salary: £12.71 per hour
- Hours: Contracted to 20 hours per week
- Benefits: Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
- Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs by maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services.

- Responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas
- Ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation
- Supporting laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly
- Ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care
Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised, hygienic and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.
What We Are Looking For
- A positive and reliable approach
- Good attention to detail and organisation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of hygiene, infection control and safe working practices is beneficial
- Previous experience is welcomed but not essential
