About the Role

We are seeking a Housekeeper to join Cosener’s House Hotel—a charming, 50-bedroom hotel with conference facilities—to maintain and enhance our exceptional guest experiences. This role requires someone detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all areas of the hotel (Guestrooms, F&B outlets, public spaces, conference suites).
  • Ensure all toilet and sanitation areas are spotless, with stock levels of linen and supplies at optimal levels.
  • Provide prompt responses to guest requests concerning housekeeping-related issues.
  • Perform a pre-inspection of rooms, meticulously maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Play a proactive role in daily cleaning and deep cleaning schedules.
  • Conduct nightly room checks and ensure all rooms are ready for next-night arrival.
  • Maintain the areas outside of rooms, including the lounge, hotel front desk reception, and any private areas.
  • Ensure all external and communal areas are clean and tidy.
  • Co-ordinate with hotel staff to maintain the high occupancy and cleanliness standards the hotel is known for.

Person Specification & Requirements

We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a service-first mindset, and a commitment to excellence. No formal qualifications are required, but the following would be advantageous:

  • Experience in a hospitality/cleaning environment (catering, hotels, or residential care).
  • An enthusiasm for maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adhere to strict timelines.
  • Great team player with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive approach towards ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts (including weekends).
  • Additional benefits lengthen the hours as required, and if necessary, team members may work longer shifts.
