Housekeeping Assistant – Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa

About Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa

Our award-winning countryside hotel and spa in Redhill, Surrey, is renowned as one of the finest in the area. With elegant décor, spacious rooms, and modern amenities, Nutfield Priory offers a serene retreat—ideal for relaxation and renewal.


The Role: Housekeeping Assistant

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Nutfield Priory, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every guest experience is impeccable and memorable. Your primary focus is maintaining high-end cleanliness and presentation across bedrooms and public areas, setting the tone for a luxurious stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure guest bedrooms are meticulously cleaned and refreshed daily to exceptional standards.
  • Replace towels and toiletries, both in rooms and across member amenities, adhering to personalised luxury standards.
  • Set up social amenities such as tea, coffee, and biscuits in rooms, including ** traduitional details** for four-legged guests.
  • Execute attention to detail to uphold the hotel’s immaculate appearance, applicable to both guest and public spaces.
  • Operate self-checks on room readiness and assist in managing business requirements through flexibility.
  • Foster teamwork and support colleagues to preserve the hotel’s high guest satisfaction.

About You

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Previously held housekeeping or cleaning experience, though it need not be extensive.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • A pride in high standards, with attention to delivery consistency.
  • A friendly, welcoming, and helpful disposition—complimenting our team-focused approach.
  • Eagerness to take ownership and adapt as needed to business demands.
  • Demonstrated capability to exceed expectations in services. Our ideal candidate will be able to:

Salary & Work Arrangements

  • A competitive salary of £13.00 per hour, with incremental pay reviews based on commitment and performance.
  • A share of the service charge, rewarding exceptional guest feedback.
  • A part-time role, working 5 days per week (including weekends) on a rota system, averaging 32 hours per week (may vary with business needs).
