Housekeeping Assistant (Bank) – Brighton Hospital

Cleaning | Bank Contract | Ad-Hoc | £13.10 per hour

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, friendly and flexible individual to join our Housekeeping Team at Brighton Hospital. As someone with experience in a similar role, you will be well-organised and ensure that:

  • Cleaning products are used effectively
  • The environment is clean, pleasant and safe for patients

As this is a customer-facing role, the successful candidate must also possess strong customer service skills.

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will:

  • Clean and prepare areas of responsibility following the required policies and procedures, ensuring they remain clean, tidy, pleasant and safe for patients
  • Ensure appropriate cleaning products are used effectively and adhere to health, safety and infection prevention and control procedures at all times
  • Display Nuffield Health’s brand values, including during interactions with patients and customers
  • Correctly and safely prepare, use, clean and store equipment, tools and materials
  • Make full use of any protective or safety equipment provided
  • Report any incidents that may have led to, or could lead to, infection following the required local incident reporting procedure
  • Provide general assistance and support as part of a team
