Housekeeping Assistant
Location: Aston-on-Trent, Richmond Drive, Derbyshire, DE72 2EA
Salary range: £12.90 per hour
Contract: Bank

Key Responsibilities
You’ll help make health happen by maintaining high cleaning standards:
- Keeping public areas, communal spaces, and residential properties immaculate
- Operating machinery including vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet shampooers
- Regularly emptying bins, sweeping, and scrubbing floors (including waxing & polishing)
- Cleaning carpets, upholstery, woodwork, windows, and door panels
- Handling laundry services—washing, drying, and ironing residents’ clothes, bedding, and communal linens
- ** Reporting safety hazards** immediately, adhering to health and safety standards, and COSSH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) compliance

Requirements
Experience & Skills
You’ll need:
- Proven experience in housekeeping, domestic cleaning, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of infection control, COSSH, and compliance standards
- Friendly and approachable personality—essential for building trust with colleagues, residents, and families
- Attention to detail—taking pride in each task
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across different functions and support teams
