Housekeeper Assistant – Virginia Water Care Home (Surrey)

About The Role
As a Housekeeper Assistant, you’ll work as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry care within the care home. Your duties will align with standard operating procedures (SOP) for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring hotel service-level standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Carrying out all cleaning duties in line with provided worksheet instructions.
- Applying knowledge of cleaning requirements for different surfaces and coverings, plus the correct use of cleaning materials, to ensure high presentation and condition standards.
- Ensuring resident dignity and respect is upheld at all times—this includes maintaining privacy and NOT invading personal spaces/belongings.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Legal duty of care knowledge: Familiarity with Health & Safety best practices, including moving and handling techniques, fire safety, and COSHH compliance.
- Industry experience: Demonstrated expertise in cleaning and laundry services in public-facing settings.
- Empathy and dedication: A proven record of delivering high-quality housekeeping/laundry with genuine care for residents.
- Flexibility: The willingness to adapt to shifting priorities and cover varied tasks ad-hoc when needed.
