Housekeeping Assistant - Part Time
Housekeeping Assistant
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you'll help create a welcoming and comfortable home for residents by ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. Your work will play a critical role in supporting residents' comfort, dignity, wellbeing, and quality of life through the effective management of laundry and housekeeping duties.
What You Will Do
- Wash, dry, iron, and distribute residents’ personal clothing and household linen to a high standard
- Maintain accurate labelling and organisation of residents’ clothing and belongings
- Operate laundry equipment safely and effectively, following all procedures and guidelines
- Monitor stock levels of laundry and cleaning supplies and report any requirements
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times
- Support the cleaning of:
- Bedrooms
- Bathrooms
- Communal areas
- Report:
- Maintenance issues
- Damaged items
- Health and safety concerns
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents
- Work as part of a team to support the smooth running of the service
About You
You’ll:
- Take pride in your work, understanding the importance of a high-quality service that supports residents’ dignity, comfort, and wellbeing
- Be reliable, organised, and meticulous in caring for clothing and linen
- Have excellent attention to detail to ensure everything is cleared, returned correctly
