Housekeeping Assistant – Contract Position at La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home
Location: Martock, Somerset, UK Wage: £12.71 per hour Hours: 24 hours per week (contractual) Benefits:
- Paid DBS check
- Free uniform
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro-rated)
About the Role
Joining La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home, a specialist care home offering accommodations for up to 76 residents, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment through this hands-on housekeeping and laundry assistant position.
Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping:
- Clean, disinfect and maintain resident bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high hygiene standards
- Follow strict infection control, health & safety and housekeeping protocols
- Work flexibly to ensure spaces are presentable for residents and visitors

Laundry Support:
- Handle washing, drying, ironing and distributing residential and communal clothing
- Label and sort items correctly, ensuring high care and tidiness
- Maintain a well-organised laundry system to meet daily needs

- Team Collaboration:
- Work alongside cleaners and laundry assistants to uphold operational efficiency
- Report issues promptly to ensure consistency and professionalism
Note: Rotating weekend work is required.
