Housekeeping Assistant

About The Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant at HC-One, kindness will be at the heart of everything you do. It’s what shapes our care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist homes.

Our Residents are people with rich lives and personal stories. By joining HC-One, you’ll help give something back — through care, respect, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

You’ll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming home. Your work will make a real difference every day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
  • Following cleaning schedules and tasks set by the team lead
  • Using products safely and following hygiene procedures
  • Supporting infection control and safety standards
  • Helping with laundry and linen care
  • Reporting any issues or repairs as needed

You’ll take pride in your work and keep everything spotless. Whether you’re ticking off tasks or jumping in to lend a hand, you’ll do it with care and compassion.

Some housekeeping experience is helpful, but full training is provided. You’ll need to be organised, manage your time well, and work with attention to detail. Most of all, you’ll bring a positive attitude and be kind and respectful in every conversation — with Residents, visitors, and your team.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. It is important that you recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm, or neglect and understand what to do if you have any concerns. All colleagues are required to:

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
