The Role
Your Purpose
As a Spa and Wellness – Housekeeping Attendant, you will shape the pristine, calming, and luxurious atmosphere that defines Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere. Your attention to detail—precisely maintaining guest rooms, upholding brand standards, and ensuring every stay is memorable—lies at the heart of the resorts exceptional hospitality.
Responsibilities
Guest Room Servicing
- Prepare and refresh guest rooms to Fairmont’s world-class luxury standards, ensuring impeccable cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful presentation.
Core Duties
- Maintain exceptional presentation of bedrooms, bathrooms, and in-room amenities to uphold zero-defect standards.
- Replenish towels, linens, and guest supplies with accuracy and consistency, ensuring VIP and standard rooms meet Fairmont’s highest expectations.
- Report maintenance concerns promptly to floor supervisors and ensure timely resolution to keep rooms in perfect condition.
- Handle guest belongings with discretion, respect, and professionalism.
- Support personalised touches and elevated premium presentation for VIP guests, enhancing their exclusive experience.
- Maintain organised, clean, and fully stocked housekeeping trolleys and storage areas.
- Respond warmly and professionally to guest requests, embodying a guest-first mindset in all interactions.
- Collaborate closely with Floor Supervisors, Housekeeping teams, and Front Office to ensure smooth room preparation and occupancy turnover.
- Follow all cleaning procedures, including deep-cleaning schedules and Fairmont brand standards, while adhering to hygiene, COSHH, and manual-handling regulations.
- Participate in daily briefings and continuous training to uphold service excellence.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in housekeeping or cleaning, ideally in a luxury hotel.
- Strong eye for detail with a true dedication to exceptional standards.
- Proven understanding of cleaning techniques, hygiene protocols, and room presentation standards.
- Awareness of UK health & safety regulations, including COSHH (training provided if required).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with strict time management to meet fast-paced operational demands.
- Professional and courteous demeanour, naturally guest-focused and capable of resolving issues with grace and diplomacy.
- Physical capability to meet the role’s demands (e.g., lifting, standing, manual handling).
