Role Overview
As the Floor Supervisor, you will play a key role in the daily operation of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and guest satisfaction in our guest rooms. Working alongside the Housekeeping Manager you will ensure that all guest rooms consistently exceed expectations, contributing to the hotel’s reputation. You will supervise and coach the housekeeping associates fostering a positive working environment, all while contributing to the hotel's commitment to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all Forbes, LQA and Rosewood Brand Standards are consistently implemented and adhered to within the housekeeping department to maintain a high level of service quality.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment by supporting and motivating associates to deliver exceptional guest experiences, while contributing to the overall success of the hotel.
- Support the Housekeeping Manager to oversee the performance of housekeeping associates, ensuring they follow operational standards and maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel.
- Conduct daily checks and follow-ups across guest rooms to ensure all areas meet the hotel’s quality standards.
- Review guest requests prior to arrival, ensuring they are properly set up and addressed in a timely and organised manner.
- Take ownership of guest concerns and feedback, investigate issues thoroughly, and implement appropriate resolutions to ensure a positive guest experience in line with company procedures.
- Assist with the planning and monitoring of staffing levels, adjusting to hotel occupancy and other needs, while ensuring time and attendance is accurately recorded and reported.
- Work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to identify training needs and assist with organising and implementing training when required.
- Monitor the inventory and assist with the ordering of cleaning supplies, ensuring the department is stocked with necessary items.
- Monitor and ensure the proper maintenance and care of all hotel furniture, fixtures, and equipment, reporting malfunctions and coordinating repairs through the Engineering department.
- Assist with the implementation of fire, health, safety, and evacuation procedures, ensuring all associates are well-trained and compliant with safety regulations.
- Ensure proper handling of lost and found items, collaborating with Security to ensure procedures are followed and lost property is appropriately logged.
- Complete any special assignments or projects given by the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Director of Housekeeping promptly and efficiently, always adhering to the hotel’s standards.
