Housekeeping Manager (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)
This position is offered on a six-month fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities
- Lead the housekeeping team to ensure clean and fresh rooms for all guests
- Be fanatical about delivering high standards when cleaning
- Provide spotless rooms and public areas
- Make beds and clean bathrooms
- Report any damage
- Keep yourself, the team, and customers safe
- Respond to guest requests
- Engage, train, lead and inspire the housekeeping team
- Supervise the activities of all housekeeping staff to ensure clean, attractive and well-maintained guest rooms, corridors and service areas according to the standards required by the Hotel
- Ensure clear lines of communication with the hotel management team and participate fully as a senior manager within the business
- Where relevant support recruitment and associated procedures, including checking right to work documentation
- Manage the process of authorised absence and ensure that at all times, the lack is covered without interruption to the business and smooth operation of the department
- Ensure all staff are fully conversant with health and safety policies and procedures and attend relevant training
- Ensure that all statutory training records are in place, maintained and reviewed regularly in line with brand and company standards
- Ensure all staff are trained regarding standards and productivity requirements and that concerns are addressed, and re-training completed if necessary
- Take initial responsibility for managing and resolving any team member queries
- Evaluate the performance of all team members under your direction, including conducting regular team member appraisals
- Participate in and carry out various housekeeping inventories
- Positively represent the housekeeping department in daily operations meetings and other meetings as required
