Job Description

Location: White Cross

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Piran Meadows Resort, one of Darwin Escapes' stunning holiday destinations in Cornwall.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate leader who takes pride in delivering exceptional standards and creating memorable guest experiences. As Housekeeping Manager, you'll lead a dedicated team, ensuring our luxury lodges and guest areas are maintained to the highest standards while supporting, developing and motivating your colleagues.

This is a varied and hands-on management role, ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front, thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail.

This is a permanent position offering 40 hours per week, working variable days, including weekends and bank holidays in line with the needs of the business.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day housekeeping operation, ensuring all accommodation and public areas meet Darwin Escapes' high standards.
  • Manage, motivate and support the Housekeeping team, creating a positive and productive working environment.
  • Plan rotas and allocate workloads to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Carry out regular quality inspections and ensure all accommodation is guest-ready within required turnaround times.
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop team members.
  • Monitor stock levels and order housekeeping supplies as required.
  • Work closely with Reception and Maintenance teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve housekeeping queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety, COSHH and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, including audits, inspections and team performance.

Essential

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Manager role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
  • Ability to organise workloads and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A positive, proactive and hands-on approach.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays.
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.

Desirable

  • Experience within the hospitality, holiday park or hotel industry.
  • Experience managing rotas, budgets and stock control.
  • Knowledge of COSHH and health & safety legislation.
  • Experience using housekeeping or property management systems.
