Housekeeping Supervisor – Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
Location: Meadowhill Care Home, Castleford Close, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 4AL
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm, shifts will be across Monday to Sunday
Job type: Permanent

About The Role
As Housekeeping Supervisor you will lead and manage the housekeeping team to ensure the care home is always clean, safe and comfortable for our residents, staff and visitors.

Please be aware that this position will include hands-on cleaning whilst we build a team of housekeepers.
- Oversee all aspects of the housekeeping and laundry operations
- Manage and train the housekeeping team to maintain high standards at all times
- Create and implement cleaning schedules and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory and order cleaning supplies as and when required
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met and address any concerns promptly

About You
- The right to live and work in the UK
- Proven experience in housekeeping management, ideally within a care home or hospitality setting
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and infection control procedures
- Strong attention to detail with a caring nature, positive attitude and the ability to work in a team
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Willing to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
