We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and friendly Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dedicated team at Wexham Park Hospital. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and infection control standards across the hospital. You will oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring that all clinical and non-clinical areas, including patient wards, theatres, and public spaces, are cleaned to the highest standards. This position requires a strong, proactive leader with excellent supervisory skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Main Duties of the Job
- Responsible for maintaining the high cleaning standards of our wards and departments
- Allocate housekeepers assistants to various wards and department areas on a daily basis to ensure that the hospital is clean, safe and provides a welcoming environment to all the Trust’s patients, visitors and staff.
- Organize the rosters to ensure that appropriate cover is provided for all shifts and areas.
- Participate in the rostering of staff and must ensure best use of department’s financial resources.
- Assist the Assistant Hotel Services Manager in the provision of other services within the Hotel Services Department and to assist with the recruitment, training, and development of staff.
- Assist with the day-to-day allocation of staff to ensure that all areas of the housekeeping team responsibility are covered.
- In the event of staff shortages, re-allocate staff to give cover, and request staff from bank.
- Maintain records of staff hours, for annual leave, sickness and absence.

Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Level 4 and above GCSE in English and Maths.
Desirable Criteria
- Formal qualification in cleaning services i.e. BIC or equivalent
Skills and Knowledge
Essential Criteria
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Good motivational skills
- Good customer service and IT skills
- Team worker
- Ability to motivate and influence staff
- Working knowledge of COSHH
- Awareness of the use of colour coding in the NHS.
- Awareness of NHS cleaning standards
- Knowledge of the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 and how they are monitored
