The Glasgow Marriott Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team.
With 303 bedrooms, extensive conference facilities and a busy city centre operation, no two days are the same. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced housekeeping professional who enjoys leading people, maintaining exceptional standards and ensuring every guest has a memorable stay.

Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, including weekends and public holidays.
The Role
As Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll play a key role in supporting the Housekeeping leadership team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel.

You'll lead by example, supervise the housekeeping team throughout the day, maintain Marriott brand standards and work closely with Front Office, Engineering and Laundry teams to ensure our guests receive the highest level of service.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a large, busy hotel where organisation, communication and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, support and motivate the housekeeping team during daily operations.
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors and public areas to ensure Marriott brand standards are consistently achieved.
- Allocate room assignments and prioritise workloads to meet operational demands.
- Monitor room status reports and resolve room discrepancies with the Front Office team.
- Coordinate with Engineering to ensure maintenance issues are reported and followed up promptly.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, training and development of housekeeping associates.
- Coach and encourage team members to deliver exceptional guest service.
- Complete daily reports, shift handovers and departmental administration accurately.
- Ensure all health, safety and company procedures are followed at all times.
- Promote a positive, professional and guest-focused culture within the department.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys leading people, has excellent attention to detail and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
You'll Ideally Have
- Previous experience in a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar leadership role within a hotel environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to motivate, coach and support a diverse team.
- A proactive, flexible and positive approach to work.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced hospitality environment with consistently high standards.

We also welcome applications from experienced Senior Room Attendants, Team Leaders or Room Attendants who have demonstrated leadership potential within a busy hotel operation and are ready to take the next step in their career. Experience in a larger, high-volume hotel or a role with supervisory responsibilities will be advantageous.

As you become established in the role, you'll have the opportunity to undertake Person on Duty (Duty Manager) training, giving you exposure to wider hotel operations and leadership responsibilities. Once trained, you'll have the opportunity to cover Duty Manager shifts, which are paid at an enhanced hourly rate.
