Housekeeping Team Leader - Public Areas

At Center Parcs all our accommodation has been designed and built to the highest standards, so we need a team to uphold these standards and exceed guest expectation. Our Housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining more than 700 units of accommodation; from apartments and penthouses to Lodges and Treehouses, and for looking after our public areas and office spaces, so no two days are the same. HOUSEKEEPING TEAM LEADER - PUBLIC AREAS | £14.01 per hour We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our housekeeping team. In this role, you will assist with the smooth and efficient running of the Housekeeping cleaning operation, by providing sufficient training and development to your team. You will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are achieved to our public areas and office space and monitor cleaning standards. Other responsibilities will include contributing to the achievement of all departmental targets, assisting with the organisation and allocation of duties and ensuring the wellbeing and motivation of your team. Good verbal and written communication skills will be required, along with an organised and methodical approach to work. The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable, have a motivational approach with their team and have previous managerial / supervisory experience. HOURS OF WORK You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts fall between the hours of 5am and midnight. Standard shift times include: Early shifts 5:00am - 13:00pm, Middle shifts 10:00am - 18:00pm and Late shifts 16:00pm - Midnight. As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include every other weekend, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Essential requirements: Sociably confident with excellent interpersonal skills Basic technology literacy Have a motivational approach towards colleagues and work Empathetic and supportive approach to leading a team Desirable requirements: Experience of leading a team in a service driven environment Previous experience in the cleaning and / or hospitality industry Customer service experience Coaches’ individuals to be accountable for their own performance Full clean driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months ABOUT THE BENEFITS Center Parcs is a fantastic place to work and the benefits are as impressive as they are unique.
