We have a great opportunity for an experienced Houseperson to join our team on our client’s site in the heart of London. You will be reporting into the Head Housekeeper.
Core Responsibilities
- Keep all areas of the building clean and tidy throughout the shift.
- Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning.
- Assist housekeeping staff resetting meeting rooms, replenishing pantries, toilets etc.
- Attend to spills and accidents in prompt and efficient manner.
- Ensure exterior of the building is always kept clean and tidy.
- Assist with moving furniture.
- Perform carpet cleaning, including washing as requested with the provided machinery.
- Perform jet washing of internal courtyard areas with the provided machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacement, repairing basic fixtures.
- Take ownership and responsibility ensuring you are working effectively and developing close relationships with your colleagues.
- To carry out regular floor walks of the building and report and log any issues/actions as required
- Report work related accidents or other injuries immediately upon occurrence.
- Follow C&W and client safety and security policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe and secure working environment.
- Protect privacy and security of guests and the team onsite.
- Comply with C&W policies, systems, and H&S requirements and ensure these are met during the shift.
- Respond to requests within agreed timescales and procedures with the client and C&W
- Ensure all cleaning machinery is used in a safe working order.
- Ensure all cleaning products as well as cleaning standards are maintained to highest standards.
- Perform any ad hoc duties requested by the site manager or client.
- Proactively report any maintenance issues within the building and escalate when needed.

Qualities and Personal Attributes: Essential:
- Previous experience in a private household environment and/or a 5-star hotel role is a must.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate and deliver strong customer service.
- Able to work in a team environment but also independently.
- Be able to adapt to last minute changes and proactively solve it for C&W.
- Have the ability to work under minimal supervision
