Position: Housing Director

Department: Housing Department

Location: Nationwide

Salary: £85,000 (London) / £70,000+ (Outside London), DOE

Job Type: Permanent/ Hybrid

Our client's Housing team is recognized for their unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. They've earned recognition from leading industry publications for their work in social housing throughout the UK, assisting both landlords and tenants. Their expertise spans homelessness, disrepair, eviction, succession for tenants, neighbourhood disputes, debt matters, and possession proceedings.

Role Overview:

  • Report directly to and collaborate with the leadership team to achieve performance targets.
  • Manage diverse housing cases efficiently.
  • Contribute to departmental training and development.
  • Handle various housing cases, including homelessness, disrepair, eviction, and more.
  • Prepare funding applications for the Legal Aid Agency.
  • Draft documents, including witness statements, and manage evidence.
  • Attend conferences and court proceedings.
  • Showcase professionalism, excellent client care, and an interest in business development.

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years PQE in Housing and Litigation, including court representation.
  • Ideally, experience as a Duty Advisor under the Housing Possession Court Duty Scheme.
  • Knowledge of welfare rights and community care issues is advantageous.
  • Must possess a valid Practicing Certificate.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Supervisory experience focusing on key performance indicators.
  • Proactive and professional with excellent client care skills.
  • Networking and communication skills to contribute to firm growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management.
  • Previous legal sector experience is preferred.
  • Ability to manage social media for company promotion.
