Housing Disrepair Fee Earner/Solicitor
Liverpool (Hybrid Working)
The Role
You will manage a caseload of pre- and post-litigated housing disrepair claims; handling matters from instruction through to resolution. The role involves working in line with the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Conditions and dealing with claims under relevant landlord and tenant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims (pre and post litigation)
- Draft Letters of Claim and prepare case documentation
- Review liability evidence, housing records and expert reports
- Quantify and collate special damages
- Conduct negotiations, mediations and settlements
- Issue court proceedings where necessary
- Liaise with counsel, experts and clients
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and case management systems

The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Solicitor or Fee Earner with housing disrepair experience
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and work to tight deadlines
- Confident communicator with strong attention to detail
- Experience using a case management system (e.g. Proclaim or similar)
- Able to handle litigated matters independently
