Job Title: Housing Disrepair Team Leader
Location: Manchester - Hybrid Working
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Bonus
A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Housing Disrepair Team Leader to join its expanding Housing Litigation department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Housing Disrepair Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Senior Fee Earner with proven leadership experience to join a supportive and ambitious firm.
The Role
This position offers a combination of hands-on case handling and team leadership. You will be responsible for supervising a team of 6 Housing Disrepair Fee Earners, ensuring high standards of performance, compliance, and client care, while also managing your own caseload of approximately 50–60 housing disrepair files.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of 6 Housing Disrepair Fee Earners.
- Manage a personal caseload of 50–60 housing disrepair matters from instruction through to conclusion.
- Monitor team performance, productivity, and case progression.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and ongoing support to team members.
- Conduct file reviews and ensure compliance with firm procedures and regulatory standards.
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of fee earners where required.
- Work closely with senior management to improve team performance and drive departmental growth.
- Deliver an exceptional standard of client service while maintaining commercial awareness.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Significant experience handling Housing Disrepair claims.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a legal environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of Housing Disrepair litigation and the Civil Procedure Rules.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong communication and client care skills.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach.
