About the role
This is a Housing First Co-Ordinator role based in our Housing First Team, Rhondda Cynon Taf. Working alongside the Service Manager, we have a team of Floating Support Workers and Housing First Co-Ordinators. Providing appropriate assessments to our diverse group of customers, to help assist with housing issues, maintaining safe and secure housing, whilst working with the likes of First Landlord Network or other suitable alternatives.
Whilst managing your own caseload, you will provide a supportive approach to dealing and responding to problematic behaviour, as well as finding creative solutions for clients with complex needs. By providing a new approach to housing related support, this can prevent the clients from becoming homeless once again, and ultimately equip them with the skills and tools that they need to be able to live independent lives.

Skills and Experience Needed
- Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.
- An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
- Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
- Knowledge of housing legislation
- Understanding of the welfare benefits system
- Aware of external agencies and signposting
- Independent, managing a caseload
- Carrying out risk assessments
