💰 £48,060 – £67,723 per annum (plus flexible benefits allowance up to £2,980 per annum)
About the Role
Join a respected in-house legal team.
Woking Borough Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Housing Lawyer to join its well-regarded Legal Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality legal support across a broad range of housing matters within a forward-thinking local authority.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll manage a diverse and interesting caseload, including:
- Possession proceedings
- Housing disrepair claims
- Anti-social behaviour cases
- Injunction applications
- Private sector housing matters

You’ll work closely with senior leaders to help deliver an efficient and effective legal service, while also supporting and collaborating with colleagues across the Council.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Proactive, confident, and highly organised
- Able to work independently and manage a busy caseload
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Experienced in housing law within a local government or similar setting
